Job description – HR Director Latour Industries


 The role

We have an opening for an HR Director who will provide HR expertise, leadership and partnership to Latour Industries and our holdings. You will report to CEO and is a key member of the management team.

The main responsibility is to set the HR strategy and coordinate the HR activities in order to achieve Latour Industries’ goals. This responsibility includes ensuring alignment of HR with business needs, to support change management, attract top talent and develop talent within the organization, establish competitive hiring and selection processes and to improve HR practices in the holdings.

The role is broad and requires the coming HR Director to be a true business partner in supporting all managers in making the best decisions and a skilled coach with a strong ability to develop, influence, assist and motivate the managers and other employees. The HR Director is also expected to help the organizations move forward with their HR work. For example, s/he will drive talent management in the organizations, implement performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and manage the hiring and selection processes of key managers.

An important part of the role is to support managing directors in making the best organization decisions, monitor compensation and benefits processes, ensure proper administrative management of personnel, and contribute to Latour Industries’ HR projects and initiatives. The HR Director will also have a key role in assessing management teams in M&A activities.

Internal communication is also part of the role, and the HR-Director will drive effective communication in the organization.


Job Requirements/Candidate Profile

At least 10 years of successful HR experience in an industrial, international management culture.

• Expertise in business development, employee engagement, talent management, succession management, performance management, change management, compensation & benefits, mergers & acquisitions and labor law.

• Experience from smaller and medium sized companies, preferably also from larger companies as well.

• Business oriented and a strong communicator with the ability to support the managers within the organization and to lead the HR-area both strategically and operatively.

• A natural and convincing leader with the courage and the ability to challenge the managers in their decisions in order to create the best organization, all the time with a clear business focus.

• An ability to create engagement and credibility through strong communicative skills.

• An analytical and problem-solving approach with the aim to set long term strategic goals and to lead the team towards that goal.

• An ability to take initiative and push the organization forward to ensure that HR activities are linked to the organization’s goals and making sure to drive these matters in the Latour Industries management team.

• Hands-on and down-to-earth.

• Intellectual agility.

• Fluency in English and Swedish.

• Relevant university degree.
